About Us

FOUNDER 

My name is Alicia, and I am the founder of HEYMAEVE. I am originally from Singapore, and moved to the US 8 years ago to pursue fashion in NYC. I had a blast experiencing running a fashion business in one of the largest fashion cities in the world, after which I took a short hiatus to start a family. I have 2 beautiful little girls, Emma & Elizabeth. 5 years later, I am now back in business with a new lifestyle brand, HEYMAEVE. 

MISSION

My mission with HEYMAEVE is to use this business as a platform to touch lives, empower women through our community, & give back to causes dear to my heart — particularly non profit organizations that work for sexual assault survivors. 

I started HEYMAEVE in part as a way to regain control of my life, a year after a very traumatic experience of being a victim of sexual assault and of a system that would not protect me when I came forward.

The beauty of it though, is how big a part HEYMAEVE has played in my healing process. To have this platform to build a community of women who support and empower one another, has been so rewarding and exactly what my soul needed.

MINORITY REPRESENTATION

As a woman of color myself ( I am Singaporean Chinese), all are welcome at the table here at HEYMAEVE. As a brand, we stand by the BLM movement, Stop Asian Hate, and continue to advocate for our friends of color.  

AN INTERNATIONAL BRAND

An integral part of my business is to make sure our products are accessible to everyone anywhere in the world, especially when I have a whole other life on the opposite side of this planet in Singapore! This is why we offer affordable and quick international shipping worldwide. We are working on getting our products distributed in physical stores globally. 

COMMITMENTS & FUTURE GROWTH

I am committed to using this platform to educate, empower and support women of all walks of lives. I aim to continue to provide jobs for other creative women looking to expand their horizons, moms looking to go back to work, survivors finding their steps back into a career and more. HEYMAEVE is also committed to giving back to non profits working for sexual assault survivors in Asia.
